The Knowhow
To reinstall drivers and software on your Advent computer, you will need to do the following:
- Click on Start
- Click on Computer
- Double-click on Local Disk (C:)
- Double-click on Applications
From here you will see two folders: Drivers and Applications; which one you need depends on what was misbehaving in the first place.
Drivers are the pieces of software that make your hardware work.
Applications are programs that are pre-installed on your computer.
So for example, if your sound was not working you would go into the Drivers folder and then in the Audio folder and run the setup program from there.
These two folders will allow you to reinstall most programs and drivers and get your computer back up and running in no time.
