Note: Returning your computer to factory settings will remove ALL of your data. This includes your music, emails, pictures, documents and other important files. If you are able to, please make sure you backup everything before you start. |

To recover a Sony computer using Recovery Discs:
- Turn on your PC and insert the recovery DVD into the CD/DVD drive
- Restart your computer
- When the computer turns on again, the recovery program will instantly load up
- Select Restore Complete System from the list
- On-screen instructions will warn you about data loss

Click the Start button
- Your computer will burst into life and start the recovery process
Your computer will take around 30-45 minutes to complete the recovery and can be left to get on with it. Once finished, your computer will be back to how it was when you first took it out of the box.
To recover a Sony computer using the Hard Drive:
- When you first turn on your computer press F8

You will see a menu screen; select Repair Your Computer
- When the Sony Recovery Center loads, select Restore C: Drive from the list
- On-screen instructions will warn you about data loss
- Click the Start button
- Your computer will burst into life and start the recovery process
Your computer will take around 30-45 minutes to complete the recovery and can be left to get on with it. Once finished, your computer will be back to how it was when you first took it out of the box.
