The Knowhow
-
Turn on your Xbox and go to My Xbox in the menu, then go to Family Settings.

-
You’ll now see the Console Safety screen and the setting is probably set to Off. Change this to On using your controller. You can now adjust Parental Controls to your preferences. Don’t forget to choose Save and Exit when you are done.

Settings Explained
When you turn Parental Controls on, you will be able to set how your children can use the Xbox.
Ratings and Content: This option allows you to restrict what games and films can be viewed based on the certificate they have been given.
Family Timer: You can set limits on what times your children can log on to the Xbox and how long they can use it for. Great if you don’t want them spending hours glued to the TV screen.
Xbox Live Access: You can set limits on what times your children can log on to the Xbox and how long they can use it for. Great if you don’t want them spending hours glued to the TV screen.
Xbox LIVE Membership Creation: Prevent people from signing up for new Xbox LIVE accounts (and bypassing your controls).
Change Pass Code: This option lets you change the pass code to access Parental Control settings.
Reset to Default Settings: If you make a mistake you can use this option to return your Xbox 360 to its ‘out of the box’ settings.
When you are done, choose Save and Exit.
