When performing a reinstallation of the operating system with the Product Recovery DVD you receive an error message stating that there is a file error and the disk is full.
The recovery has additional settings that can change the size of the partition on the drive (this can be found in the recovery program by clicking the Settings button).
Adjust the size of the partition to a larger amount giving the recovery more room to install itself (a minimum of 10GB is recommended).
