Check the keyboard keys
If you are using a laptop, press the Num Lock key on your keyboard and try typing again. You may notice a light or onscreen message when the num lock key is enabled or disabled.
This problem is caused as some laptops use certain keys as a numeric keypad when the num lock is enabled.
