The Knowhow
- When the grill is switched off, unplug it and allow to cool
- Remove and drain the drip tray
- Don’t empty it down a sink or drain where it can congeal and cause blockages
- Scrape off fat and put in the bin
- Replace the drip tray and scrape any stuck on food off the grill plates
- Wipe plates with a clean, absorbent cloth, sponge or kitchen roll
- Use lemon juice to wipe the plates if you have cooked with sea food
- Wipe the outside of the grill with soft, damp cloth
- Dry with a soft cloth
Hopefully that’s taken the heat off you and you will have a clean grill in no time ready for the next time you want to cook up a feast.
