The Knowhow on Windows 7
Faster and improved battery life
To improve performance and prolong battery life, Windows 7 has been designed with a power management system that uses processing power more efficiently by micro-managing its power allocation for specific tasks.
Made to be faster and more responsive than its predecessors, the Windows 7 operating system will start-up, shut down and resume from standby within seconds and will find USB devices and wireless networks quicker than ever.
Easier to Use
Windows 7 has some great new ways to make your everyday computing tasks easier. For example, the taskbar at the bottom of the screen lets you launch programs and switch between them when they’re open. You’ll also have fast access to your working files by right clicking on the taskbar using the Jump List feature, while the new Snaps feature will resize windows instantly.
Better Home Networking
If you’d like the ability to share your home network with not just an internet connection but printer, files and other devices as well, then the Windows 7 HomeGroup feature makes the process completely painless. Home Group sets up automatically when you add the first PC running Windows 7 to your home network. You can then add more PCs with Windows 7 to the HomeGroup and specify what you want to share from each.
Touchscreen interface
Windows 7 is ideal if you have a touch-screen monitor. Simply touch your computer screen for a direct and natural way of working. Use your fingers to scroll, resize windows, and pan, zoom, and rotate images on screen.
