A big cause to smoking ovens is if grease/oil has dripped from your food and been left to burn in the oven. This grease will eventually create a chaotic mess of smoke.
To rid your oven of smoke:
- Turn the oven off from the mains and wait for it to completely cool down
- Follow our guide on, how to clean your oven
- Some ovens have a self-cleaning function. Please note: Clean off the build-up of grease before using this function as the oven can smoke a lot during this process.
To prevent your oven from smoking, remember to give it a spring clean on a regular basis. If you do find the oven smoking a little, turn on your extractor fan and open any nearby windows.
Your oven will now be ready to use again, without the char grilled effect.
